Public Service Announcements
CMAP’s goal is to help organizations get the word out about what they do in the tri-city area, and to help deliver important community messages to viewers. To keep pre-production time at a minimum for non-profit and government agency representatives, the format is kept very simple – a member of the organization or agency sits in front of one of CMAP’s PSA Day sets and reads a script off of the teleprompter. Organizations are limited to creating one announcement per PSA Day.
If you are interested in this FREE PSA, you will need to attend a CMAP Orientation for PSA Participants and sign up as a member. Memberships are available on an Individual ($50 – Annual Membership is for one person only, discounted basic workshops, ability to reserve equipment for productions, voting in elections, receive quarterly newsletter by email) or Organizational ($100 – Annual Membership is for three people in your organization, discounted basic workshops, ability to reserve equipment for productions, voting in elections, receive quarterly newsletter by email)
Each non-profit organization gets a 30-60 second announcement on camera. Please send the following items to James@cmap.tv as soon as possible, but at least a week in advance:
- A script about your agency of less than 160 words (i.e. who, what, why, where, when and how)
- Agency logos or graphics
- Photos that you would like to include
- Agency’s contact information
- Name and title of the person(s) that will be reading the script.
Please expect a confirmation email from a CMAP staff member which will let you know what time to be at the studio. If you have a scheduling conflict, please let us know as soon as possible and we will try to accomodate your needs.
