Field Production

Field Production classes teach you how to use the camera for field video acquisition. This class can be scheduled directly with James during our open lab times. You may repeat this class as many times as you like.

Basics of setting up a tripod and attaching the camera, moving the camera in 3 dimensions, attaching battery and using shore power, using the lens and lens controllers, automatic versus manual operation, contrast ratio and electronic signal characteristics for video, tape stock and labelling, using headphones, how to connect microphones and audio cabling, basics of handheld camera and stabilization.
